Panasonic P2 Cards: The panasonic P2 card is essentially a 64GB memory PCMCIA/PC Card. I personally see the possibility of having far more bit density with today's memory technology, though it is possible that may be more difficult if you are using Industrial Flash. I don't know what kinds of bit density you get with Industrial Flash, since I know next to nothing about Industrial Flash, except that it is far more reliable than Commercial Flash (the kind sold in most flash drives & SSD's), and that the kind of industrial flash I know of typically lasts 3 years in 24/7 server environments where it is beat to death. that's pretty good. Cameras typically have somewhere around 5 P2 slots.

P2 Card Readers
Panasonic P2 USB 2.0 Card Reader, available at various $80-$2695
There is a reader with 5 P2 card slots: it is supposed to work with 8GB cards (but hopefully it will work with larger - wouldn't hurt to ask someone). Obviously, the reason why there are so many is because the average camera/camcorder has about 5 P2 slots, and you go through them rather quickly with HD content.
Panasonic P2 Low Profile PCI 2.0 Card Reader, available at shopdigi.com $80
can't tell from picture how many slots it has. If you are really strapped for cash, this might be the model to go with, although the number of slots may be few. based on PC Card slot, so it is possible you may be able to use with a laptop.
